Candidate Criteria for Inclusion in the ProCon.org Local Election Website for Santa Monica
The Santa Monica Daily Press (SMDP), a local daily print and online newspaper for Santa Monica, established criteria for candidates to participate in a their hosted public debate called Squirm Night. SMDP reported which candidates met their established criteria, and ProCon.org included those candidates only in our website. Candidates needed to:
Have raised $1,000 by October 1, 2014
If in a prior election for the office, must have won at least 5% of the vote
Complete and submit the ProCon.org candidate questionnaire on time
Squirm Night is scheduled for October 13, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
